THIMAR LSESD is a Lebanese nonprofit organization (NGO) that seeks to strengthen the witness of the Church in the Arab World through inclusive education, community development, and church discipleship.

Building Strong Roots: Launching the NICOT & NICNT Commentaries in Arabic
On September 22, Dar Manhal al Hayat (DMAH) and the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) celebrated an important milestone for Arabic theological publishing: the launch of five volumes from the NICOT and NICNT commentary series in Arabic.
A Summer of Renewal: Salt & Light hosts family conferences and children’s camps across Lebanon
This summer, Thimar’s church discipleship ministry Salt & Light hosted family conferences and children’s camps across Lebanon in collaboration with local church partners, providing spaces for people to come together for games, activities, and time for much needed rest and renewal.

Equipping and Strengthening the Church across the MENA Region
As the Church in the Arab world continues to grow and navigate an ever-changing environment, the need to equip Arab Christian leaders and believers has never been greater. Through ABTS and DMAH, THIMAR-LSESD leads and supports ongoing efforts to strengthen the Church, equipping Christian leaders with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to serve their communities, while helping believers grow deeper in their faith and understanding. This work also encourages Christians to engage with people from different faith backgrounds with confidence, wisdom, and respect, while standing firm in their faith and spreading the Word of God.

Restoring Hope to the Hopeless
After years of ongoing human displacement, the needs of those affected by violence in neighboring countries have continued to grow. Through the work of its ministries, especially MERATH and Salt & Light, THIMAR-LSESD is able to respond to the prolonged refugee crisis and reach some of the most vulnerable in our communities. Our response goes beyond providing material and educational support. We also seek to address the spiritual needs of those we serve, offering care, dignity, and hope during times of profound uncertainty.

THIMAR, through the work of BBS and SKILD Center, is committed to providing quality, inclusive, and supportive education for all types of learners, while recognizing that every child learns and develops in their own unique way. We believe that every child is valuable and capable of achieving great things, regardless of individual learning differences. Learning differently should never stand in the way of a child’s success. Through personalized support, psycho-educational assessments, and an engaging learning environment rooted in faith-based values, THIMAR’s educational centers help children build confidence, discover their strengths, and thrive. We also work alongside families and educators to create a community where every child is understood, supported, and empowered to succeed and enjoy life.
