Despite ceasefire agreements in Lebanon and the wider Middle East, fighting continues across the region. In the face of such hostilities and fear of renewed conflict, we continue to put our trust in the Lord. He is the one who guides and sustains us.

After years of disruption, students and staff at Beirut Baptist School (BBS) had finally begun an academic year with a sense of stability. Little did we know that little more than a month later, war would erupt once again. When it did, BBS quickly shifted into relief work for both the school community and the surrounding neighborhoods while simultaneously supporting students, staff, and faculty as they navigated the impact of the war on their lives.

Since late February, most of our posts have focused on the war in Lebanon, which has been, in many ways, a second front in the Middle East war. Though we continue to face challenges at home, we wanted to shed light on the stories of our partners and churches in the region and how they’ve been impacted by hostilities these past few months.
